The weather is warming up and the DAKO flyers are back in action.   We will try to meet weekly until it gets just too hot to do so.   From now until the end of June will be something for everyone.   This past week,   several members gathered at the park off Wycliff next to the Trinity river.  This is where the Trinity Wind Festival was held last year.   This park as more than enough space for all of the DAKO members and their large selection of kites.   The grass is a little long for landboards or buggies,  but it is short for everything else.  On Sunday some of us got together in Prosper.   We did a little buggying and static flying until the soccer bunch arrived.

Try to make it out sometime.   Watch the FACEBOOK page for up to date and last minute details as they do change on occasion.

A great time was had by all.  Check out the below video.   From this Saturday in Dallas

Mike of Big Mike's Kites is looking for one or two people who would like to ride along to the festivals in Nacogdoches and Mt. Vernon.  He will supply food/drinks for the day and the ride to and from the festival.   He just needs some help setting up and taking down his tent and someone to help show people general kite stuff.    Plenty of time to have your own fun as well.
email Mike if you are interested.

Flying locations:    Currently the bulk of the group is pretty active in the Plano/Allen area.  Sometimes weekly fun fly's are held and there is a pretty good attendance.  Let us know where your spots to fly are.   Generally the better spots can hold 15-20 Power / Stunt kiters and the room they require and also offer space for buggying/landboarding.

Event organizers: Someone(s) to come up with ideas on how to get these things going and locations to hold them at.
